A Canvas is typically made out of linen, polyester, or cloth; one of the many fabrics used to perform day to day tasks. When thinking about obtaining a portrait, painting, or pictures taken of friends and family, we often go bigger and stronger when it’s something important for us to remember and view on a regular basis. When we want something to serve as reminders or even provide a sense of home, we use real fabric that requires more effort, time, and energy rather than just regular paper with some synthetic polish and fabrics intertwined that aren’t as durable. Diving deep into the purpose of such orchestrated art will
allow us to help understand the things that are most important to us and why.
Most of us have heard the saying, “A picture is worth a thousand words”. If that is so then
what is more valuable than having such an image in the place where you will be the most;
home. A canvas of words or an image may seems shallow to many but one of the first
things most new homeowners or renters want in their place to feel more at home is to add a piece of a reminder on the wall of what is most important to us. Whether it be big or small, having a canvas of woven art from wool, cotton, cocoons from insects’ webs, linen, or wood, in a well-articulated piece of art with the most valuable reminder on it, makes all the difference on if something feels like just a place of residence or a humble abode.
When considering the things that are most important to us, we must keep in mind
everything has an origin. A beginning, a Creator. Without the Creator having provided such
fabrics and seeds to make any piece of art come into fusion possible, life would almost
seem purposeless, having lack of creativity and color to the mind, body, and soul. The
earth around us is an incubator to hold and nurture what was provided from up above to
allow us to enjoy life in all aspects down below. To the trees, flowers, sun, moon, rain, the stars, the rocks, dirt and dew, to the sands of the sea and the bodies of waters we indulge in are all
apart of what makes up a home. Life on earth.
The Journey to Self should always provide the reminder of the canvas of art we are working towards creating on a day-to-day basis. With the nature around us to appreciate how we have the things we have in the first place. To not forget that we are not smarter than the Creator who provided such beauty in the craftiness of His artwork. Without the heavens above and earth below we wouldn’t be able to make our own creations. To create is a gift. To have and to hold it is a blessing. So remember to breathe during your journey and appreciate the little moments such as the Art of the Canvas.
