Journey to Self: A Path to healing and growth
We all have a story to tell. But quite frankly no matter how someone’s story played out, we all eventually get to the same conclusion; The Truth. That said, one is no different than you. Searching, learning, making mistakes, falling down, getting up, serving others, going to school, experiencing heart break, achieving goals, having to make life changing health decisions, and all that good stuff. There are some that take a little bit longer to learn than others and depending on how long it took, sometimes it can mean learning the hard way. learning the hard way is what brings so much shame. But what we are all aware of is, it’s always about what you do after.
The journey of learning never ends. The Journey to Self is a life long journey until the end of your time. While learning to live with pain comes much shame but shame comes humility and the ability to do better to prevent any more pain. In these times it’s quite obvious we are all coming to terms with much Truth about those around us and most importantly ourselves due to the climate of the world. With that, we all have different ways to cope with the Truth. The best part about learning the truth is, you get to chose. You can either allow it to destroy you or heal you.
Journey to Self’s purpose is to share that “Life is a work of art”. In all the things we do day in and day out is all about technique and skill or the lack thereof. While the saying can be taken literally, everything has a flip side to it (two-fold) which doesn’t literally mean you have to create a design or draw a picture with pencil and paper, but to make the best with what we’ve been given in life without forgetting and appreciating how we even got those things to create in the first place. From cooking, to cleaning, communicating, to driving, dancing/singing to a beat or playing a video game. With an open mind and the ability to trust in what you can’t control; we’ll be able to appreciate the simplest things in life to then only see that the small things really are the big things. Journey to Self was created in hopes to help those it’s supposed to, use the many ways art can be applied to everything we do in life to not just self discover but to heal not just from our own wounds but generational scars. Living doesn’t just mean doing one thing, but many things at different times all at the same time.
Regardless of if you’re able to actually sit down and draw someone’s face to the tea or paint the Ifle tower in detail doesn’t matter, but you’d be surprised how far you get if you put your mind to whatever it is you choose to do and try. As the saying goes, “people do what they want, when they want” which simply means, we all have the ability to do anything we put our mind to that we are capable of doing (hence separating things you CAN do verses the things you SHOULD do). It’s up to us to make sure we put our minds towards doing things that matter not just for ourselves but others around us, for those that will come and go.
All in all, one must not take any credit for anything shared here. It’s nothing new, because there’s nothing new under the sun as I am only sharing things that have been passed down and regurgitated a plethora of times elsewhere years ago or now on the inter-net. It’s only by the will of The Most High anything is shared by anyone. Journey to Self doesn’t participate in any religious affiliation, groups, organizations or churches, but simply believe in The Creator of heaven and earth and what makes sense in life on how to go about treating one another respectfully based on what’s in our hearts, but also what isn’t.
The Truth is everywhere and all around us in everything we do. And while there are so many lies within The Truth causing confusion and misunderstanding, it can make it hard to believe anything which is where discernment comes into play. Without it, no one would have any success or growth with anything they do. That said, All knowledge and wisdom belongs to Him and Him alone. This Journey to Self is not for the weak minded nor those that wish to see quick results but to whom it’s supposed to help, always remember stay strong, be humble, and most importantly…..wait.
