Words have the power to make or break someone. They can mean absolutely nothing—or they can mean everything. Words can be the sword of the mouth. They carry weight and power, so much so that we have sayings like “Be careful what you ask for” and “Be careful what you say.” Words feed the soul. They’re nourishment for the heart, mind, and spirit. They hold an invisible essence—so powerful it’s often unspoken, yet present in everything we do. Poetry is what frees my mind. It helps me stay grounded, allowing me to connect with my spirituality and stay sane during life’s chaos.
